In this new blog entry we want to let you know the calas you can visit in Portocolom, Mallorca on your next holidays

.
You are coming to Mallorca to spend your holidays, to enjoy the beautiful calas we have on the island and you would like to visit several of them. Don’t worry, we have prepared this small article where we are going to recommend you some of the calas to visit on your next trip to Portocolom, Majorca.

S’Arenal

This is the beach of the locals. It is less touristy than other beaches. It is divided into S’Arenal Gran and S’Arenal Petit and they communicate with each other through a little path in the rocks and across the sea. There is a chiringuito (beach bar) on each beach, so you can have a drink while you enjoy the beach or you can even book to stay for lunch. From this beach you can see the whole harbour. It is a quiet beach to go with children and the older ones can go from one beach to the other swimming or walking.

Cala Marsal

With turquoise water, fine sand and rocks, Cala Marsal is the most touristy cala in Portocolom. It is a cala where you can go with the little ones and you have the option of renting kayaks and pedal boats, among others. There is a beach bar and also restaurants and souvenirs.

S’Algar

This is a cala of fine sand that owes its name to the accumulation of seaweed it usually has. S’Algar is more frequented by Mallorcans and, depending on the storms throughout the year, it will have sand or not. This cala is surrounded by rocks.

Es Babo

Another of the natural beaches within the port is Es Babo. It is characterised by its transparent and calm waters. From this beach you can enjoy one of the best views of the entire natural harbour. It is a rather narrow sandy beach next to the road. It is an ideal place for picnics and caravans. It is ideal for children.

Cala Brafi

This is a beautiful cala of sand, stones and rocks located in the Cala Marsal urbanisation. Access to Cala Brafi is by rustic paths and partly cross-country, so it is not very recommendable for small children, and logically it is not recommended for people with reduced mobility. There are no services of any kind.

You can stay in one of our houses in the area, such as:

Finca Sa Pletassa, for 8 people.
Finca Cas Mungi, for 10 people.
Villa Pins, for 10 people.
Can Sard, for 10 people.
Sa Caseta, for 4 people.
