You are coming to Mallorca to spend your holidays, to enjoy the beautiful calas we have on the island and you would like to visit several of them. Don’t worry, we have prepared this small article where we are going to recommend you some of the calas to visit on your next trip to Cala d’Or, Majorca.
Cala Mitjana
Cala Mitjana is a cosy and quiet cala, with transparent waters of different shades of colour depending on the time of day and the sun’s rays. It is a small cala, not very easy to access as you have to go by boat or walk more than a kilometre. It does not have any kind of service.
Cala Ferrera
Cala Ferrera is located in the tourist resort of Cala D’Or, surrounded by hotels. It is a tourist beach, with a very high level of occupation and with all the services. It is one of the 5 calas that make up the tourist resort of Cala D’Or.
Cala Esmeralda
Cala Esmeralda is another of the beaches located in the tourist resort of Cala D’Or. Its occupation is high and touristy. There are no services available.
Cala Serena
Cala Serena is another of the 5 beaches located in the tourist resort of Cala D’Or. Its occupancy rate is average and touristy. There are no services available despite being in a very touristy environment. It is a much more natural and pleasant beach than its neighbour Cala Ferrera, mainly visited by the guests of the nearby hotels.
Cala Sa Nau
Cala Sa Nau is a beautiful beach of white sand, surrounded by a typical Mediterranean pine forest with low bushes that create many natural shadows on the beach. It is a beach recommended for the whole family. Access to the beach is via a long flight of steps next to the free car park. There is a beach bar and toilets. Its level of occupation is very high. One of the nearest beaches is Cala Mitjana which can be visited on foot from Cala Sanau.
Cala Gran
Cala Gran, as its name indicates, is the largest of the 5 calas that belong to Cala D’Or. It has all the services to satisfy the tourism in the area. It has a high level of occupation.
Cala Petita
Cala Petita is another of the 5 calas that belong to Cala D’Or. It also has a high occupation of tourists in summer.
